King County Details

Purpose: High-resolution elevation model.
This is a mosaic of the LiDAR digital elevation model for most of King County. (The remainder of the County is in the lidar database.) It is in stateplane coordinates with data spacing of 6 feet. Vertical units are feet. The one data layer is named "dem."
To access King County lidar data, any UW subunit, office, department, or college in the University will need to download and fill out the disclaimer form and fax it to King County (206-263-3145), attention Mike Leathers. You only need to fill out and sign the second page, then contact Harvey for further instructions. Those outside the University must contact King County GIS Client Services to get their data.
